Drink Driver crashes at Wallsend

Background
About 11:45pm on Saturday 6th July 2024, Wallsend Fire and Rescue were called to Walford Street in Wallsend after numerous reports of a Motor Vehicle Crash. Upon arrival, Crews observed a White Volkswagen Utility with substantial damage after colliding with two parked vehicles.
The area was cleaned of debris and the vehicles removed from the roadway. NSW Police Force were in attendance and arrested the Male Driver after he returned a positive reading to alcohol. The Driver was then conveyed to Waratah Police Station for a further Breath Analysis. Remember if you’re heading out for a drink, leave the car behind and plan another way home. If you’re drinking, don’t drive.
