Overnight Roadworks to Impact Pacific Highway Traffic at Jewells Tuesday and Wednesday

today21 October 2024

Background

Motorists travelling along the A43 Pacific Highway at Jewells are being advised of upcoming changes to traffic conditions due to overnight maintenance work. Transport for NSW has scheduled vegetation management and drainage maintenance for Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 October, weather permitting.

To minimise disruption to traffic, the work will be carried out between 7pm and 5am each night. During these hours, lane closures will be in place, with stop/go traffic arrangements and a temporary speed limit of 40 km/h to ensure the safety of workers and drivers.

Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and follow directions from signage and traffic controllers on-site. While most drivers will need to adjust to these changes, those operating oversized or overmass (OSOM) vehicles up to five metres wide will be guided through the work zone. Operators of vehicles wider than five metres are requested to contact the project team ahead of time on 0411 166 465.

The overnight works are set to affect southbound lanes of the Pacific Highway between South Street and Dalrymple Street. Lane width restrictions will be in place, with lanes narrowed to 3.8 metres and shoulders reduced to 1.2 metres.

Transport for NSW has thanked drivers for their patience during the maintenance period. Drivers can stay updated on traffic conditions by downloading the Live Traffic NSW app, visiting the Live Traffic website, or calling 132 701.

For more information, contact the project supervisor Brad on 0411 166 465.
