Newcastle City Police District officers conducted a search of the vehicle, which led to the discovery of illicit substances. Police found 21 grams of cocaine, 28 grams of methylamphetamine, a knife, and a stolen number plate.

The man was immediately taken into custody and transported to Newcastle Police Station, where he was charged with multiple offences, including drug possession, possession of a prohibited weapon, and handling stolen goods.
