today14 November 2024

Background

Wallarah Rural Fire Brigade crews, alongside Fire and Rescue NSW Swansea, responded to a vehicle fire late last night on Kayuga Close in Caves Beach. The call-out, which took place at 9:42 pm, saw both Wallarah’s Cat 1 Alpha and Bravo firefighting units on the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully engulfed single-cab Hilux ute. Crews, including Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus (CABA) operators from both Wallarah and Station 447, worked quickly and effectively to bring the blaze under control. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the teams, the fire was successfully extinguished without further incident.
