A 39-year-old man has been arrested after Lake Macquarie Police executed search warrants in Dora Creek and Belmont as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of break and enter offences across western Lake Macquarie in recent weeks.
Police raided a residence on Gardiner Street, Dora Creek, at midday on Thursday, 3 October 2024, resulting in the man’s arrest. During the search, officers reportedly uncovered items connected to a break and enter incident at a Morisset business on 25 September 2024. The incident saw 12 storage units broken into, with various stolen items recovered.

Authorities also allege that property stolen from other break and enter incidents in Cooranbong, Fassifern, and Budgewoi was found during the search.
A separate search warrant executed at a property in Belmont led to the recovery of a stolen Polaris quad bike, believed to be connected to the ongoing investigation.

After being refused bail by police, the man appeared before Toronto Local Court today, where he was granted conditional bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for 15 October 2024.
