House Fire in Adamstown Brings Out Multiple Crews

At around 6pm on Friday, Fire and Rescue NSW Merewether, along with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 357 Lambton, responded to a house fire on Narrara Road, Adamstown. Upon arrival, crews found a single-storey house fully engulfed in flames, with nearby properties at risk from the intense heat and flames.

To tackle the blaze, additional support was called in from Fire and Rescue NSW Charlestown, as well as NSW Ambulance and NSW Police Force. In total, around 30 firefighters were on the scene, battling the fire for nearly four hours before it was fully extinguished.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with NSW Police and the Fire and Rescue NSW Fire Investigation and Research Unit currently examining the site.

Local residents expressed their concerns on social media, with one commenter, Ellen Kotteakos, stating, “Hope everyone is safe,” while another, Kylie Cowling, thanked the firefighters, saying, “It was scary how close it was to my home. You are all amazing.”
