In the early hours of Sunday morning, emergency services were called to Hunter Street in Newcastle following reports of a two-car collision.
Around 2 am, officers from the Newcastle City Police District arrived at the scene to find that two Mitsubishi cars had collided outside The Lucky Hotel. The impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn and come to rest on its roof.
According to witnesses, the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles left the scene before police arrived. No injuries have been reported at this stage.
A crime scene has been established as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police are appealing to the public for any information that may assist with their inquiries.
