newy.com.au – Hunter photographers have until Sunday, 18 October to enter Newcastle Airport’s Show the World Our Home competition for a chance to have their work displayed in the terminal and across the region.
The competition accepts photographs taken from the Central Coast through the Hunter to Coffs Harbour. The airport says hundreds of images have already been submitted, capturing the region’s landscapes, people and experiences.
Newcastle Airport chief executive Linc Horton encouraged photographers to make the most of the remaining time.
“There’s still time to get that perfect shot so get out and about this weekend and share the beauty of what you capture.”
Winning and shortlisted photographs could feature in a dedicated terminal exhibition, elsewhere throughout the airport and on its digital and social media channels. The airport says images will also be displayed at other locations across the region.
Photographers can enter five categories: Junior, Youth, Community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and Aviation. A separate People’s Choice Award will be decided by a public vote on shortlisted entries.
Photographs must be original works taken by the entrant and must not contain watermarks, logos or added branding. AI generated images are not eligible.
The airport is directing photographers to its competition details and category and entry information online.
Entries close at 11.59pm on 18 October 2026. Finalists will be announced and People’s Choice voting will open on 2 November. Voting closes at 11.59pm on 15 November, and winners will be announced on 19 November.
