newy.com.au – A 69-year-old man has died after being pulled unresponsive from the water at One Mile Beach in Port Stephens.
Emergency services were called to the beach about 11.15am on Monday, 3 August, following reports of a person unresponsive in the water.
Members of the public pulled the man from the water and began CPR before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived. Paramedics treated him, but he could not be revived.
Officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District have begun inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
