newy.com.au – An 18-year-old woman has died after being ejected from a quad bike when it rolled in the Hunter Valley.
Emergency services were called to Quince Tree Lane at Congewai, about 18km south of Cessnock, just after 10am on Sunday following reports of the single-vehicle crash.
Police were told an 18-year-old man was riding the quad bike when it rolled, ejecting the woman, who was a passenger.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene, but she could not be revived. The rider was taken to Cessnock Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene, with specialist Crash Investigation Unit officers examining the circumstances surrounding the crash and the woman’s death.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
