Crews from Fire and Rescue Wallsend and Lambton rescue unit responded to reports of the crash at the intersection of Cowper and George streets about 7am on Friday, 11 September 2026.
Wallsend station said firefighters found one vehicle overturned when they arrived. They worked alongside other emergency services to make the scene safe and assist those involved.
The station urged motorists to take extra care on the roads, slow down, stay alert and drive to the conditions. It did not say what caused the crash.
