newy.com.au – Motorists will face stop/slow traffic control and a reduced 40km/h speed limit on T C Frith Avenue at Boolaroo during overnight roadworks from Sunday 13 September.
Transport for NSW said night work between Seventh and First streets would run from 6pm to 6am on Sunday to Friday nights until Friday 2 October, weather permitting.
The construction is part of the Speers Point transport improvements project and includes asphalt work, survey investigations and adjustments to utilities and drainage.
Drivers will also encounter intermittent traffic stoppages during daytime work. Those shifts are scheduled for 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and, when required, 8am to 6pm on Saturdays, subject to weather.
The 40km/h limit and stop/slow controls will apply during the night shifts. Motorists have been advised to drive to the conditions and follow signs and traffic controllers’ directions.
Operators of heavy vehicles more than three metres wide are asked to contact the project team on 0427 813 728 at least one day before travelling through the work area. The project operates on UHF channel 19.
Vehicles travelling under a permit must remain on their approved route unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator. Operators travelling under a notice must check the relevant enforceable network map to confirm any alternative route is approved.
