newy.com.au – A 92-year-old woman has died in hospital after a two-vehicle crash at Swansea on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Rawson and Pelican streets about 12.05pm after reports a Subaru SUV and Toyota utility had collided.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the Subaru’s front passenger at the scene before taking her to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition. Police confirmed on Wednesday night that she had died.
The Subaru’s driver, a 67-year-old woman, was also taken to John Hunter Hospital for assessment.
The 36-year-old man driving the Toyota was uninjured and taken to Belmont Hospital for mandatory testing.
Lake Macquarie police have begun investigating the cause of the crash.
