Emergency services received a triple-zero call at around 5:50am to reports someone was trapped in their vehicle on Minmi Road.
Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance and NSW Police were called to the scene and on arrival they determined everyone was able to exit the vehicles.
Two cars were pushed up against a power pole.
Emergency services assisted the vehicle occupants while fire and rescue cleaned up the scene.
A witness, Jim George told newy.com.au “Traffic is slow coming from the traffic signal. It’s a new road layout and someone’s obviously miscalculated the turn. No one trapped in the vehicles now. No panic on scene.”
Newy.com.au understands it’s the second accident that has happened at the newly configured intersection.
The road was re-opened around 6:41am and traffic flow returned to normal.
