newy.com.au – Dunmore Bridge at Woodville will close overnight for up to five nights next week as Transport for NSW carries out essential asphalt and maintenance work on the Paterson Road approach.
The work is scheduled to start on Monday, June 22, and will be carried out between 7pm and 3am from Monday to Friday, weather permitting. It will include general maintenance, removal and replacement of asphalt, and line marking installation.
A full closure of Dunmore Bridge will be in place during the work. Northbound motorists will be diverted via Dunmore Road and Hinton Bridge, while southbound motorists will be directed via Clarence Town Road and Hinton Bridge.
Transport for NSW said the detour was expected to add about 15 to 20 minutes to travel times. Access to Bellevue Road will be managed by traffic control, with a reduced speed limit of 40km/h in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Emergency services will retain access to the bridge during the closure. Electronic message signs will provide advance notice of the changed conditions, and the detour route will be clearly signposted while the closure is in place.
Vehicles travelling under a permit must not leave the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
Motorists are being urged to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers. More information is available at livetraffic.com/incident-details/276900, through the Live Traffic NSW app or by calling 132 701.
