newy.com.au – Motorists using Industrial Drive at Mayfield West have been warned to expect changed overnight traffic conditions later this month while maintenance work is carried out between Maitland Road and Steel River Boulevard.
City of Newcastle Council will undertake the work on behalf of Transport for NSW, including median replacement, across three overnight shifts, weather permitting.
The work is scheduled from 7pm to 5am on Friday 26 June, and from 5pm to 7am on Saturday 27 June and Sunday 28 June.
Traffic control will be in place during the work, including a single lane closure and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h, to protect workers and motorists.
Road users have been advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers. Oversize and Over Mass vehicles can be accommodated and managed on arrival at the site via UHF Channel 21.
