newy.com.au – Motorists using Nelson Bay Road at Bobs Farm are being warned to expect changed overnight traffic conditions from next week while surveying work is carried out to help inform future planning.

The work will take place on the westbound side of the dual carriageway, east of Marsh Road at the Salt Ash end of Nelson Bay Road. Westbound shoulders will be closed during the work, with intermittent westbound lane closures also possible.

Transport for NSW said the work had been scheduled overnight to reduce disruption, with crews due on site from 6pm to 5am on Tuesday, June 9, Wednesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 11. Further night work is planned from Monday, June 22 to Thursday, June 25, weather permitting.

Traffic control will be in place and the speed limit will be reduced to 60km/h for the safety of workers and motorists. Heavy vehicles, including oversize and overmass vehicles, will still be able to travel through the site.

Motorists have been urged to drive to the conditions and follow signs and traffic control directions. Transport for NSW has thanked road users for their patience.
