Investigation underway after shots fired at Charlestown home

newy.com.au – Police are investigating after multiple shots were fired at a home in Charlestown overnight before a red ute was seen leaving the area.

Emergency services were called to a house on Dickinson Street about 11.40pm on Sunday, May 3, following reports of a public place shooting.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District were told multiple shots had been fired at the house before a red ute left the scene on Kahibah Road. The occupants of the home were not injured.

Police have established a crime scene and have begun inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
