newy.com.au – Motorists are being advised of changed traffic conditions on Swansea Bridge tonight as Transport for NSW carries out maintenance work after a defect was identified during a routine inspection.

Transport for NSW said the work would include maintenance of the hydraulic system and lift tests for the southbound bridge at Swansea. Work is scheduled for Monday, 16 March, from 6pm, with bridge lift testing to take place between 8pm and midnight.

Southbound motorists should expect short delays of up to five minutes during each lift. Drivers have been urged to follow signs and traffic control and drive to the conditions.

The bridge will not be open to marine traffic while the work is under way. Transport for NSW thanked motorists for their patience and said further information was available through Live Traffic NSW, the Live Traffic app or by calling 132 701.
