newy.com.au – A four-year-old boy has died after being pulled unconscious from a swimming pool at Bobs Farm in NSW on Friday 9 January 2026.
Police said emergency services were called about 7.30pm after reports the child was unresponsive when taken from the water, with officers commencing an investigation into the circumstances.
Family members performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and took over, before the boy was treated at the scene and transported to hospital in a critical condition.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where he later died.
Officers attached to the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District attended and began inquiries, with police saying a report would be prepared for the coroner.
