newy.com.au – A 32-year-old man has been charged after police alleged a prohibited Nazi symbol was displayed on a boat at a Swansea address and is due to appear in court on Wednesday 17 December 2025.
Lake Macquarie area started an investigation after receiving a report about an allegedly offensive symbol on public display.
Police said officers from Lake Macquarie Police District attended a home on Albert Street, Swansea, on Saturday 6 December 2025 after reports a prohibited Nazi symbol was displayed on a boat parked at the location. An investigation was launched into the incident.
Following inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a house in Albert Street on Tuesday 16 December 2025 and arrested the man.
Two marine vessels and other items were seized and will be examined, according to police.
The man was taken to Belmont Police Station and charged with three offences: cause prohibited Nazi symbol to be displayed in a public place, offensive behaviour and breach of bail. Police said he was refused bail.
The man is expected to appear in Bail Division Court 2 on Wednesday 17 December 2025.
