Fourth teen charged over alleged Tarro break-ins and stolen Suzuki sedan

newy.com.au – A fourth teenage boy has been charged after an investigation into alleged break-ins at unit complexes in Tarro and the theft of a Suzuki sedan late last month.

NSW Police began investigating after reports a group targeted properties on Quarter Session Road, with three other teenage boys already charged and remaining before the court as part of the inquiry police have named Operation Soteria.

Police allege a group entered a unit complex on Quarter Session Road about 11pm on Saturday 29 November 2025 and stole a wallet and an electronic device.

A short time later, officers allege another unit complex on the same street was broken into, with a handbag and a Suzuki sedan stolen.

The sedan was located abandoned on Kingstown Road, Woodberry, about 5.30am on Sunday 30 November 2025, police said.

Multiple crime scenes were established and the vehicle was seized for forensic examination as investigators worked to identify those allegedly involved.

After further inquiries, police arrested a 15-year-old boy in the Cameron Park area about 8.20am on Friday 12 December 2025 and took him to Toronto Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, and was refused bail to appear at Children’s Court on Friday, where he was remanded to appear again on Friday 19 December 2025.

Police said inquiries under Operation Soteria were continuing.
