newy.com.au – Emergency services are responding to a single vehicle crash involving a truck on the A1 Pacific Highway at Karuah, which occurred shortly before 6.30am this morning, 21 July 2025.

The incident took place in the northbound carriageway, approximately halfway between Bucketts Way and Tarean Road. The driver of the truck was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to John Hunter Hospital for further care.

One of the two northbound lanes remains closed as crews from emergency services and Transport for NSW work at the site.

Traffic is crawling slowly Northbound approaching the site, motorists driving northbound are advised to slow down approaching the Bucketts way as traffic is stopped in this area.

There are intermittent northbound closures as the recovery process continues.

NSW SES and Karuah RFS are currently assisting with the cleanup.

The man is in a stable condition.
