Man Charged After Alleged Early Morning Break-In at New Lambton Home

newy.com.au – A 39-year-old man has been charged following an alleged break and enter at a New Lambton home in the early hours of 27 June 2025.

Police were called to a property on Royal Street about 5.55am after reports of an intruder. Officers from Newcastle City Police District attended and saw a man fleeing from the backyard. He was arrested nearby after a short foot chase.

Authorities allege the man was found in possession of stolen power tools and batteries valued at over $3,500. The accused, from Port Stephens, was taken to Waratah Police Station and charged with break and enter house steal.

He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before Parramatta Local Court on 28 June 2025.
