newy.com.au – Drivers passing through Marks Point are being urged to plan ahead, with overnight roadworks set to affect the Pacific Highway later this week. Transport for NSW will carry out asphalt resurfacing works on the southbound slow lane between Emily and Reid streets from 8pm on Thursday, 26 June, through to 4am on Friday, 27 June.
The upgrade aims to improve road conditions for motorists, but will involve a lane closure, reduced speed limit of 40 km/h, and onsite traffic control during the works. While the job is scheduled to wrap up in one night, that remains weather-dependent.
Special arrangements are in place for Over Size Over Mass vehicles with ground contact wider than four metres, who are being asked to wait in the closed lane and contact the Works Supervisor on 0417 364 984 to arrange a safe escort through the zone.
Motorists travelling through the area are reminded to drive carefully, observe signage, and follow all instructions from traffic controllers. Transport for NSW has thanked road users for their patience while the essential maintenance is completed.
