Armed Robbery Investigation Underway After Jewells Tavern Holdup

newy.com.au – Police told Newy 87.8 they have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a licensed venue on Ntaba Road in Jewells around 3pm on Tuesday, 25 March 2025.

Police said it was alleged a man threatened staff before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Officers from the Lake Macquarie Police District established a crime scene and are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

The venue had been trading normally by the time several media outlets arrived at the premises around 5pm today.
