newy.com.au – Newcastle Airport has announced the appointment of Mr Linc Horton as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 5 May 2025. This significant development coincides with the airport’s upcoming inauguration of its International Terminal and the strengthening of its collaborations with Australia’s defence sector.
Mr Horton brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Since December 2022, he has served as the Global Head of Property at Toll Group, a company that reported revenues of $7.6 billion in the 2022 financial year. Prior to this, from 2008 to 2020, he was the Chief of Property at Melbourne Airport (Australia Pacific Airports Pty Ltd), where he oversaw the commercial property division, capital projects, and facilities management. Under his leadership, the airport’s commercial estate expanded into a $105 million per annum revenue enterprise. Mr Horton has also held positions in the UK, notably as Investment Director at BAA Lynton Limited from 2005 to 2008, where he was responsible for the company’s investment strategy and the Airport Property Partnership.
Beyond his professional commitments, Mr Horton has been an active contributor to regional development initiatives. He currently chairs NORTH Link, a Melbourne-based business association dedicated to promoting sustainable economic growth in the city’s northern regions. Additionally, he serves as the Deputy Chair of Regional Development Australia, Melbourne Committee, reflecting his commitment to fostering economic and social benefits for local communities.
Jude Munro AO, Board Chair of Newcastle Airport, expressed enthusiasm about Mr Horton’s appointment, highlighting his extensive experience and notable achievements in property development and airport-related negotiations. Ms Munro anticipates that Mr Horton will actively engage with business networks throughout the Hunter region in his capacity as CEO.
