newy.com.au – Motorists using the M1 Pacific Motorway between Black Hill and Tomago should prepare for changed traffic conditions next week as construction work continues on the M1 extension to Raymond Terrace.
To minimise disruption, Transport for NSW will conduct night work at several key locations. From 7pm to 5am on Monday, 3 March, Tuesday, 4 March, and Thursday, 6 March, the eastbound off-ramp from the New England Highway to Anderson Drive will be closed. A detour will be in place via New England Highway/Maitland Road, subject to weather conditions.
Operators of oversize and over-mass vehicles wider than 3.2 metres ground contact or 4.5 metres overall width must contact the project team on 0423 323 946 at least one day before travel to avoid delays. Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicle operators should check their enforceable network maps for approved routes, while vehicles travelling under permit must adhere to their listed route unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
Major construction works will continue throughout the project site, with daytime operations running from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 5pm on Sundays. Night works will also take place from 7pm to 5am on weeknights.
