Police Seek Public Assistance Following Alleged Sexual Touching at Fassifern Railway Station

Police are appealing for information after an alleged incident of sexual touching at Fassifern Railway Station in Lake Macquarie.

At approximately 10:30 pm on Sunday, 20 October 2024, officers from the Lake Macquarie Police District responded to reports of a man allegedly inappropriately touching a 15-year-old girl at the station.

As part of their ongoing investigation, Police Transport Command North Central officers are seeking to identify a man who may assist with inquiries. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his early 30s, with a thin build and a brown/orange beard. At the time, he was wearing a black jumper, white t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes, and carrying a black tote bag.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or the man’s identity to come forward.
