27yo Man and 33yo Woman Charged In Connection With Fatal Stabbing in Hamilton

newy.com.au – Two individuals have been charged in connection with the alleged fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man on Beaumont Street, Hamilton, in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November 2024.

Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing around 2:40 am, discovering the victim with multiple stab wounds. Despite paramedics’ efforts, he was transported to John Hunter Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Newcastle City Police District, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, initiated an investigation under Strike Force Mannum.

On Monday, 18 November 2024, a 27-year-old man from North Lambton was arrested at Waratah Police Station around 11:00 am. He has been charged with murder and was refused bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court today.

Later that day, at approximately 5:10 pm, a 33-year-old woman was apprehended at a bus stop in Bankstown. She was taken to Bankstown Police Station, charged with murder, and has been refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today.

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
