Police Seek Public Help Following Child Approach Incident at Cameron Park

Authorities are urging the community to come forward with information following a child approach incident earlier this month in Cameron Park. The incident took place at approximately 5:30pm on Friday, 6 September 2024, when a 15-year-old girl was walking along Horizon Avenue.

According to police reports, the teenager was approached by a man driving a blue SUV. While the exact nature of the interaction has not been disclosed, Lake Macquarie Police believe the man may hold information regarding the incident.

Police have released images of the vehicle involved and are appealing to the public for assistance. The man in question is urged to come forward, and anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.
