$11,000 Mower Stolen and Destroyed in Ryhope Machinery Theft
Lake Macquarie: Police are appealing for public assistance following the theft and destruction of a high-value lawn mower from a business in Ryhope earlier this week.
The incident occurred between 2:00 am and 3:00 am on Tuesday, 24 September 2024, when thieves gained access to a machinery compound located on Cessnock Road. The stolen item, an automatic lawn mower valued at $11,000, was loaded into a white dual-cab 4×4 vehicle fitted with a canopy.
Shortly after, the mower was found destroyed in bushland off Hawk Mount Road, Cooranbong. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has information about the vehicle involved to come forward.
Lake Macquarie Police are working to identify the culprits and encourage anyone with details to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting police report number E98249626. Information can also be provided confidentially through the Crime Stoppers website.
Police remind the public that all information will be treated with strict confidentiality as investigations continue into the costly theft.
