11-Year-Old Boy Found Safe After Police Search in West Wallsend

An 11-year-old boy who was reported missing in West Wallsend on Saturday night has been safely located after an extensive search involving police and rescue teams.

The boy was last seen around 8:50 pm on Carrington Street, prompting a large response from the NSW Police Force, with multiple police vehicles and a rescue team dispatched to the area. A police helicopter was also deployed, scanning the area overhead, and an SMS alert was sent out to the West Wallsend community in an effort to locate the child.

After several hours of searching, the boy was found safe and well around 1 am on Sunday, 8th September 2024.

In a statement, NSW Police expressed their gratitude to the public and the media for their assistance during the search.
