A structure fire in Chris Avenue, Salt Ash, was swiftly contained by the RFS last night. The alarm was raised at 6:51 PM when a small tin shed at the rear of a property was reported to be fully engulfed in flames.
Upon arriving at the scene, Williamtown RFS responded and immediately took action to ensure the safety of all involved by isolating power to the affected structure. The firefighters then deployed 38mm hoses to tackle the blaze, successfully bringing it under control.
Assistance from Breathing Apparatus Operator (BAO) crews from the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Tilligerry Brigade and Medowie Rural Fire Brigade played a crucial role in the operation, demonstrating excellent teamwork.
The quick response and coordinated efforts of all the brigades involved were key to preventing further damage and ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.
