Lake Macquarie Police District is seeking public assistance regarding the theft of a charity cash box from Blacksmiths last week.

At approximately 2.30 pm on Friday, 12 July 2024, a male individual entered a business on Turea Street and stole a cash box designated for collecting donations for Marine Rescue NSW.

Marine Rescue NSW, a volunteer organisation, relies heavily on community donations to provide critical services for marine-related emergencies.

The male, shown in the attached photograph, may have information that could assist police with their enquiries.
