Hunter children’s entertainment group “The Little Scallywagz” began filming their new TV show for Hunter Television this weekend. The show was filmed at various locations including Fairplay Gateshead, Spring Loaded trampoline park, Fantastic Furniture and Event Cinemas. Many Hunter children took part in the production.

There are 2 shows, “Rise & Shine with the Little Scallywagz” and “Good Afternoon with the Little Scallywagz”, segments which encourage children to eat healthy breakfasts, exercise and brush their teeth, all mixed in with professionally choreographed dancing.

“This is such an exciting opportunity for us, we have been entertaining Hunter Children for 10 years and Hunter TV will be a great stepping stone for our group” said Stacey from the Little Scallywagz.

The program will be pitched to local Community TV stations around the country.

Hunter Television is currently working with the Australian Government to finalise a transmitter licence for it’s station.

“Broome and Darwin enjoy local Narrowcast TV so we are pushing the Government to fast track our licence so the Hunter can enjoy the same service, the Government have told us we will receive an answer before mid May” said Rod Breis, manager at Hunter TV.

The shows will be available on the Hunter TV website in the coming weeks.

The Shoot was featured in the Newcastle Herald.
